Myong Mo Yi

Biography

Mr. Myong Mo Yi is a percussionist officially recognized as a successor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Korea No.11-3, “Labor Dance Music.” He is a recipient of the Grand Prix in Labor Music the 12th National Meister Labor Music Award), 1st Prize from the prestigious 34th Jeongju Great Practice Competition), and 1st Prize from the 19th KBS Korean Traditional Music Competition.
Mr. Yi has performed globally as a traditional ribbon dance and music performer in Canada, Turkey, Vietnam, Singapore, and Russia. Since he is a dance-percussion performer, he dreams of joining the Cirque Du Soleil in the future.
