Sung Woo Choi

    Biography

    Mr. Sung Woo Choi is officially recognized as a successor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Korea No.11-3, “Labor Dance Music.” He has received Grand Prix Presidential Award from the 18th Nonsan World Percussion Music Festival, the 1st Prize from the prestigious 34th Jeongju Great Practice Competition, and the 1st Prize from the 18th KBS Korean Traditional Music Competition.
    Mr. Chois has toured Turkey, Russia, Singapore, Cambodia, and many other countries as a performing artist. Besides occasionally performing with wHOOL, he also is an active member of IN-PoongRyu and 913-23 Ensemble.
