    自介

    Robert McClure 用喜欢非传统方式来发掘非寻常之美-视觉艺术、诗、自然界、神经科学与数学概念等元素都影响着他的创作。他的作品常在音乐节演出,包括:纽约市电子音乐节、现代音响音乐音乐节、多伦多国际电子音乐研讨会、SEAMUS、ICMC 国际电子音乐研讨会。 Robert 的大型管絃樂团作品《警告的颜色》于2016 Intimacy of Creativity Festival 由香港管絃樂团演出。他的《沙漠小品:昆虫三个巴松管》是2015年「巴松管室内乐作曲大赛」的得奖作品。
    Robert 是莱斯大学音乐博士,师从陈士惠、Arthur Gottschalk 与 Kurt Stallmann。他目前是中国苏州大学音乐学院的作曲助理教授。

    Robert McClure’s music attempts to discover beauty in unconventional places using non-traditional means. Visual art, poetry, the natural world, neurological and mathematical concepts are all elements that influence McClure’s works. His work has been featured at festivals including the New York City Electronic Music Festival, the Sonorities Festival of Contemporary Music, the Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium, SEAMUS, and ICMC (International Computer Music Conference).
    Recently, his work for large orchestra titled, Warning Colors, was selected for performance by the Hong Kong Philharmonic as part of the 2016 Intimacy of Creativity Festival where he was a Composer Fellow. Desert Miniatures: Insects for three bassoons was named a winner in the 2015 Bassoon Chamber Music Composition Competition.
    He received his doctorate from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University where his primary mentors were Shih-Hui Chen, Arthur Gottschalk, and Kurt Stallmann. Robert is an Assistant Professor of Composition at the School of Music at Soochow University in Suzhou, China.
